Concern: Titans’ injuries

While we did get some potentially positive updates on Monday for tight end Delanie Walker and defensive lineman Jurrell Casey, we still don’t know much about wide receiver Corey Davis and inside linebacker Jayon Brown.

All four of these players missed the Week 10 game against the Chiefs.

The biggest concern out of those four is definitely Brown. While Davis would certainly be a welcomed addition after missing last week, he hasn’t made enough of an impact throughout the course of the season to say he’s vital to Tennessee winning games.

Brown, on the other hand, is vital to this team’s defensive success. He is an elite coverage linebacker who also adds to both the pass-rush and run defense of the Titans, and his replacement, Wesley Woodyard, is a huge step down from the third-year pro at this point in his career.

Brown has missed two games in total with a groin injury this season, and he re-aggravated it in the Week 9 loss to the Carolina Panthers. We didn’t get any news on Brown on Monday, and no news could be bad news for the Titans.

Adding to those four players, cornerback Malcolm Butler was lost for the season, so the Titans are down one major player in the secondary. Butler’s absence will open the door for the Jags to attack corner LeShaun Sims, which could turn out to be a major problem for Tennessee.
