Ryan Tannehill

After the 2018 season, Ryan Tannehill‘s career was on life support. His tenure with the Miami Dolphins was a failure and he was traded to the Titans to be a backup and an insurance policy to Marcus Mariota.

Well, that trade has worked out in spades for Tannehill.

Not only did he eventually take over as the team’s starting quarterback, but he has revived a Titans season that looked dead in the dirt.

Since being inserted behind center in Week 6, Tannehill is 3-1 as a starter, has been a perfect 10-for-10 in the red zone (the Titans own the best red zone success rate in the NFL going into Week 11) and has orchestrated a game-winning drive in each of those contests.

Adding to that, Tannehill has showed great leadership and grit (particularly in the Chiefs game), and there’s no question he has been an upgrade behind center for Tennessee.

There was some doubt as to whether or not Tannehill would ever start in this league again after 2018, however now it looks like he could be the solution at quarterback for the Titans beyond 2019 — and the Titans may not be the only team calling.
