5. New Orleans Saints

Recap: Now this is a team I can really believe in again. After whatever that was against Atlanta last week, I was concerned that they may have an issue down the stretch.

Drew Brees was outstanding and Alvin Kamara was his usual do-it-all self showing why he is one of the most fun players in the NFL to watch even if it isn’t always crazy highlight reel plays. Oh and Michael Thomas had another 100 yard day with a touchdown and eight catches in the midst of his outstanding season.

Still, the story of the game may be the defense which picked off Jameis Winston 4 times and knocked away 12 balls on the day. I mean, they may not be quite as balanced as the top team on this list but they are extremely close.

Outlook: Super Bowl or bust. This team feels like they have checked all the boxes they need to check and at this point the most important thing for them to do is to make it into the post season healthy and ready to play the best teams in the NFL.

With time starting to become an issue for Drew Brees (though you wouldn’t know it by his game today) he and the team have to feel like they NEED to make a run now.
