9. Minnesota Vikings

Recap: Whew, that was almost bad.

The Vikings ended up winning against a Denver Broncos team that isn’t as bad as you think, but also isn’t an above average team either. Their defense flashes like when they shut out the Titans, but for the most part if you can put up 21 points you should be able to beat them.

Cousins ended up missing only six passes on the day and had three touchdowns after a lackluster start. Maybe the most distressing thing was that Dalvin Cook was completely shut down in the run game today and that has to be the backbone of this offense in these winter months.

Outlook: When Dalvin Cook is getting shut out, can Cousins take over? Today we saw that he could which is a huge plus and I have always thought Cousins could be that guy. However, it is still a question I have when I think about this team’s upside.

Are they Super Bowl contenders? I mean yes, maybe if you catch them on the right day. However, I really wanted to see a little bit more from the pass rush and when it mattered most they really had some iffy moments that could have ended the game for them.

Still, a win is a win and you have to be impressed with that resiliency.
