Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are a lock to own one of the top two picks in next year’s draft, and there’s no way they aren’t taking a quarterback. And, when a team takes a quarterback that high, chances are he’s going to start right away. If that turns out not the be the case, the Bengals still have Ryan Finley on the roster.

Los Angeles Chargers

Yes, Philip Rivers is 37 years old and in the twilight of his career, but the Chargers have already made it clear they have plans to re-sign him at some point before next season. Los Angeles won’t be in the market for a high-profile backup in 2020 as a result, and it’s more likely the team will want to spend its money in an attempt to make at least one more run with Rivers.

Pittsburgh Steelers

While Ben Roethlisberger is out for the season and has hinted at retirement in the past, the veteran quarterback has already said he plans to return in 2020. And, with the Steelers having current starter and 2018 third-round pick Mason Rudolph on the roster, it’s doubtful they spend money to bring another quarterback in.

With that out of the way, here are five teams that could potentially be a fit for what Marcus Mariota will be looking for — which is a starting job with a chance to succeed — in 2020.
