Much-needed rest

Playing 10 games in a row is taxing in and of itself, but when you consider what some Titans went through in Week 10, this bye week couldn’t have come at a better time.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill left it all out on the field in Week 10. On two separate occasions, Tannehill had to lower his shoulder to absorb contact in order to gain extra yardage, and one of those plays resulted in the Titans completing a successful two-point conversion that gave them a three-point lead near the end of regulation.

Running back Derrick Henry was the focal point of the offense against the Chiefs. He totaled 25 touches (23 carries) and turned them into 188 rushing yards and two scores. For Henry, it was the second-most touches he had seen in a single game all year.

In Week 11, both Tannehill and Henry, along with the rest of their teammates, can get some rest and prepare for the remainder of the 2019 slate. Specifically for Henry, the Titans will likely ride him heavily in the last six games, so he could use every bit of rest he can get.
