Winner #6: Ryan Tannehill

The big question that many people had about Ryan Tannehill is how he would perform under pressure in comparison to his predecessor, Marcus Mariota.

Considering that Tannehill has now led three game-winning drives in four starts, I would say Tannehill has done a stellar job.

His stat line isn’t exactly world-beating: he was 13-of-19 for 181 yards and two touchdowns. But it was his ability to lead the team down the field with just over a minute left and no timeouts remaining that was truly spectacular.

He scrambled for 18 yards, and then went 2-of-3 for 43 yards and the go-ahead touchdown on the final drive, and then ran in a two-point conversion to put the Titans up by three with 23 seconds remaining.

I still don’t know whether or not Tannehill will be the team’s quarterback beyond this season, but either way, it’s been a fun ride with him at the helm. Here’s hoping that it only gets better from here.
