Loser No. 1: Taylor Lewan

Once upon a time, Taylor Lewan was considered one of the premier left tackles in the NFL.

Now, coming off of a four-game suspension to start the 2019-20 NFL season, he has been, in his own words, a “liability”.

Lewan picked up three penalties in the second half on Sunday, two of which came in the opening drive of the third quarter, the second of which cost the Titans a first down and eventually led them to punt it away.

Lewan leads the team in penalties with nine, a pretty remarkable feat considering he’s only played in six of the team’s ten games.

I think it’s admirable that Lewan has taken responsibility for his reckless play and at the very least, he didn’t cost the team a victory this week. That being said, taking responsibility for your poor play is the easy part. He needs to fix whatever issues he’s having with avoiding penalties, and just play better now.
