The Tennessee Titans might see the return of tight end Delanie Walker and defensive lineman Jurrell Casey in Week 12.

When the Tennessee Titans return from their Week 11 bye to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12, the team could see the return of tight end Delanie Walker and defensive lineman Jurrell Casey.

According to Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky, the team is “optimistic” that the two veterans will be ready to go in Week 12.

Not only are Casey (shoulder) and Walker (ankle) dealing with injuries, but inside linebacker Jayon Brown is also dealing with a groin issue that led to him being inactive in Week 10 and wide receiver Corey Davis was ruled out in Week 10 with a hip injury.

Let’s hope the Titans are as optimistic about Davis and Brown as they are about Casey and Walker.

Head coach Mike Vrabel vaguely addressed the status of all four of those players on Monday.

Brown has been inactive in two of the past five games with the same injury, and he was forced from the Week 6 and 9 games early because of it.

After being forced to exit after just five snaps in Week 7, Walker has been ruled out in each of the past three games with an injury to the same ankle that forced him to miss all but one game in 2018.

For an offense that has been very inconsistent this season, it can’t be stressed how important Walker’s services are for this team. Fellow tight end Jonnu Smith has done a nice job in his absence, but has been mostly quiet the last two games.

Getting Casey back helps in two ways: he’s an excellent run stopper and he helps create pressure up the middle. Tennessee will welcome his return if he can in fact make it back by Week 12.

With a divisional matchup coming in Week 12, the bye week couldn’t have come at a better time and and the Titans might be back to full strength just in time for the Jaguars.
