Offense found its blueprint today

The offense may have found their blueprint for the rest of the season in a thrilling 35-32 victory. In what should be a surprise to no one, Derrick Henry solidified the notion that he must be the focal point of this offense. His ability to wear down a defense can not be underestimated.

Although many times Henry only gains a few yards per carry, those carries are setting a tone for later in the game when the defense is tired of hitting a 6-foot-3, 247-pound beast.

As we saw today, the former Heisman-winning running back from Alabama needs to get somewhere around 20 to 25 touches a game at a minimum in order to really leave his mark on an opposing defense.

By the end of the game Henry was running through arm tackles with ease, as no one wanted anything to do with the Titans running back.

This offense will reach new heights if quarterback Ryan Tannehill is able to pair this level of rushing attack with the level of quarterback play he displayed against Kansas City. Tannehill didn’t exactly light up the stat sheet, however he displayed the ability to manage the game and capitalize on opportunities whenever they presented themselves.

There are many fans that are still skeptical towards Tannehill being the Titans quarterback of the future, however he will undoubtedly continue to make the argument for himself by playing at the level he has played at since taking over and leading his team to a 3-1 record.

This team could be poised for a second half run if it is able to play the level of complementary football that they played against the Chiefs.
