Taylor Lewan’s undisciplined play continues to be a problem

The Titans made their star left tackle Taylor Lewan the highest-paid offensive linemen in NFL history last offseason with the expectation that he would be an anchor for this team for years to come.

However, Lewan has severely struggled thus far since returning from the suspension that sidelined him from the first four games of the season. The words struggling and suspension are two words you never want to see linked with a player that has been given the type of money that Lewan has.

Since his return, the former Michigan star has struggled to be the player that he was paid to be. His undisciplined play is becoming a huge issue, as he is constantly making bone-headed plays that hurt the team.

Whether it be with penalties or undisciplined technique, the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history must clean up these details in his game that have derailed him from the type of player he has historically been throughout his career.

These problems presented themselves once again versus Kansas City, as Lewan was charged with huge penalties that are ultimately drive-killers, a problem that even Lewan himself understands he must clean up.

Lewan must learn to keep his emotions in check at all times, as his emotional personality is what makes you love him but can also be the reason why you hate him at times also. In order for Lewan to become the type of leader he aims to be, he must clean up this aspect of his game.
