Titans defense must capitalize on opportunities

The Titans found a way to pull out a victory in a thrilling game that provided numerous lead changes. However, a lot of that could have been avoided had the Titans capitalized on some of the opportunities they had earlier in the game.

This team seemed like it was destined for another disappointing performance following a multitude of letdowns in the first half.

On the very first play of the game, Mahomes attempted to complete a deep shot that found its way into the hands of Titans safety Kenny Vaccaro. However, several replay angles showed that the ball undoubtedly hit the floor prior to Vaccaro securing possession. This was one of many opportunities that the Titans failed to capitalize on early in the game.

Titans cornerback Adoree’ Jackson had several opportunities to make a game-changing play during the first half. However, similarly to the football, Jackson let the opportunities slip through his hands. If this defense wants to take their play to another level, they must find ways to capitalize on these opportunities whenever they present themselves.
