27. Atlanta Falcons (2-7)

Recap: The dead-in-the-dirt Atlanta Falcons were able to muster up enough life in Week 10 to grab a win over the New Orleans Saints. Atlanta’s defense was able to keep Drew Brees and Co. in check and inexplicably held the Saints out of the end zone the entire game. The contest was still close going into the fourth quarter with the Falcons clinging to a 13-9 lead, but Atlanta would go on to score 13 unanswered points in the final frame to secure an upset victory over the Saints.

Outlook: Atlanta’s season is already over, so this win doesn’t do much for this struggling squad other than to hurt their chances for a higher pick and play spoiler for the Saints’ hopes of owning the best record in the NFC. It’s too bad the Falcons couldn’t show this kind of fight before it was too late. Following this win, Atlanta will hit the road in Week 11 to face the Carolina Panthers.
