3. New England Patriots (8-1) – BYE

Recap: They are human! The New England Patriots suffered their first loss of the season in Week 9 against the Baltimore Ravens, leaving the San Francisco 49ers as the only unbeaten team left in the NFL in 2019. The Pats got off on the wrong foot against the Ravens, falling behind 17-0 in the second quarter. While the Patriots would battle back and trailed by just four points going into the fourth quarter, a pair of Ravens touchdowns helped seal the deal in the final frame.

Outlook: The loss for New England dashes any hopes for an unbeaten season, but things are still very secure in the AFC East after the Bills lost in Week 10, so no worries there. New England and Buffalo will meet in Foxboro for a Week 16 showdown, however I’d expect the division to be wrapped up by then. In the meantime, the Pats will face another test in Week 11 after the bye, with a road tilt against the Philadelphia Eagles on deck.
