12. Philadelphia Eagles (5-4) – BYE

Recap: The Philadelphia Eagles go into their bye with two straight wins giving them a head of steam. In Week 8, the Eagles beat the Buffalo Bills, and then followed that up with a huge road win over the flailing Chicago Bears. Philly’s defense was the latest beneficiary of the downfall of Mitchell Trubisky, who mustered up just 125 yards through the air against what has been an exploitable Eagles pass defense. On the back of Jordan Howard and arm of Carson Wentz, the Eagles jumped out to a 19-0 lead that proved to be insurmountable for the Bears’ struggling offense.

Outlook: Once sitting at 3-4, the Eagles looked to be heading to a disappointing season in 2019. However, two straight wins and the improving health of their defense has Philly back on track and the NFC East is square in their sights. Unfortunately for the Eagles, they’ll have to wait until Week 16 to exact revenge on the Dallas Cowboys after the embarrassing Week 7 result. Looking ahead, the Eagles will have to figure out a way to navigate past Bill Belichick’s defense in a home meeting against the New England Patriots in Week 11.
