Delanie Walker: Sit

Update: It appears Walker will not take play in Week 10, as he told the media he isn’t ready to take the field yet. Fire up your Jonnu Smith.

End of Update

As we already mentioned, Walker hasn’t practice at all this week and while he did seem optimistic that he was on the road to recovery from his ankle injury, there’s still a good chance he doesn’t suit up in Week 10.

Even if he does, you can’t really trust Walker. When he played with the ankle issue in Week 7, he was in for just five snaps before exiting early. There’s also the possibility that the Titans limit his snaps in order to work the veteran back in slowly after missing the last two games.

Of course, Walker’s status will have a great effect on Smith’s viability as a starter. If both are active, there’s no telling who will get more snaps or have a better game, so it’s really a toss-up in that scenario.

I just don’t see many avenues for Walker to have a productive day if he plays, so you might be better off sitting him this week. If I had to choose between one of the Titans’ two tight ends to play if both are active, I’d choose Smith against what is a middling Chiefs defense in terms of allowing fantasy points to tight ends.
