Tennessee Titans: Snap counts and top PFF grades from Week 9
Top PFF grades: Offense
Notes
-Henry was the top performer on the Titans’ offense in Week 9, per PFF. That’s no surprise, as Henry scored twice, and one of those scores was a nifty catch-and-run from 23 yards out. Thankfully the Titans’ coaches were smart enough to have him almost evenly split snaps with Lewis against the Panthers (sarcasm).
-Despite the overall showing of the Titans’ offense, the struggles cannot be pinned on quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who was the second-highest graded offensive player on Sunday. Tannehill did what he could with the crappy hand he was dealt, finishing with two touchdowns (one rushing) and 331 yards through the air. Tannehill did throw two picks, but one was on a pass that hit Brown in the hands and was intercepted, while the other was a telegraphed pass to Raymond that also saw him run a bad route.
-Brown had his third-highest yardage output of the 2019 season, but had a costly drop that turned into an interception for Tannehill.
-Wide receiver Adam Humphries had his second-highest yardage output of his debut season in Tennessee. Humphries caught four passes for 65 yards and it appears offensive coordinator Arthur Smith is finally realizing he has a solid weapon to help the Titans convert on third downs. Better late than never, I guess.
-It’s nice that left tackle Taylor Lewan made the top-five, however it’s also pathetic in the same breath. Not only is it sad to see Lewan is one of three guys who made the top five in the 60’s, but Lewan had another poor outing that saw him commit multiple drive-killing penalties.
