The Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers have released their respective inactives lists for Week 9.

One of the bigger names we were keeping an eye on for the Tennessee Titans’ Week 9 game against the Carolina Panthers was right tackle Jack Conklin.

Conklin, who popped up on the injury report on Saturday after he was downgraded to questionable with an illness, will be active on Sunday against the Panthers.

Here are the full list of inactives for both teams.

Titans inactives

Panthers inactives

QB Cam Newton (foot)
EDGE Christian Miller (ankle)
OT Greg Little (concussion)
EDGE Mario Addison
OL Bryan Witzmann
LB Jordan Kunaszyk

Titans notes

On Friday, the Titans had already ruled out tight end Delanie Walker (ankle), center Ben Jones (concussion) and defensive lineman Jurrell Casey (shoulder). Cornerback Chris Milton (ankle) was also added to that list on Saturday when he was ruled out despite getting in limited practices throughout the week.

Walker will miss his second straight game with an ankle injury. He was also forced to miss nearly the entire Week 7 game when he was pulled after just five snaps. Thankfully for Tennessee, tight end Jonnu Smith has been able to step up in Walker’s absence.

With Jones out, the Titans will deploy offensive lineman Jamil Douglas at center. Douglas has been the bane of Titans fans’ existence this season and he could become a major issue in Week 9 with 7.5 of the Panthers’ 30 sacks coming from the interior of the defensive line.

Casey, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury for weeks now, was a bit of a surprise when he was ruled out on Friday. The loss of Casey will be tough to overcome, but defensive linemen Isaiah Mack, Matt Dickerson and Austin Johnson will have to step up in his absence.

Panthers notes

For the Panthers, we already knew quarterback Cam Newton would not be playing, and according to a new report, he’ll be out “several more weeks”, with a trip to Injured Reserve being on the table. Rookie signal-caller Kyle Allen is 4-1 in Newton’s place.

Tackle Greg Little was ruled out ahead of Sunday, so that’s no surprise there. The biggest surprise this week was stud pass-rusher Mario Addison being ruled out, as he’s dealing with the death of his brother. Our hearts definitely go out to him and his loved ones for their loss.

Wide receiver Curtis Samuel and linebacker/defensive end Christian Miller were both listed as questionable, however only Miller is inactive.
