25. Tennessee Titans

Recap: The Tennessee Titans had a full week to prepare for this game, though you wouldn’t have been able to tell that if you watched the game. By the end of the day, the Titans coaches had gotten out worked and out smarted. Maybe worse than that, the players seemed disinterested and unprepared.

We all know that Ryan Tannehill isn’t the answer for the Titans and while he wasn’t the biggest problem today, he didn’t do enough early to really overcome his teammates letting him down.

On the offensive line, there were struggles but that is nothing new, but the skill players giving the game away has to be upsetting. A.J. Brown had a dropped pass turned interception while Dion Lewis (who was on the field for some reason) fumbled killing a promising drive.

Defensively the Titans ran out of gas by the third quarter and with injuries to Jayon Brown and Malcolm Butler they were just banged up enough to allow Tennessee to be beaten up at will.

Outlook: Plain and simple, the Titans offensive coaching staff has been bad for two straight years at this point with two different people calling the plays. There is nothing that you can see that tells you that they deserve to be coaching at the NFL level or that they are doing anything to improve or develop the talent they coach.

Going forward the Titans have to consider making a change at head coach and at every position on offense. While I would like to see the Titans defense remain in tact under the tutelage of Dean Pees, if he is attached at the hip to Mike Vrabel then I think the value he brings isn’t worth what is hurting this team.
