4. New England Patriots

Recap: The Patriots just could never get back on top of the lead that they gave the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.

Everyone was ready to leave the Patriots for dead after the 17-0 lead, and while the result may lead you to believe that they were right, the fact is that the Patriots surged in the second quarter and had a chance to even it up at 17 all AND get the ball back if they would have gotten one more yard on a third down try or if they would have gone for it on 4th and 1.

The Patriots looked outclassed, but rarely does that happen twice in a season to this team and while I do expect a drop off from the historic pace they were on, this is still a really good team.

Outlook: Even if the Patriots only beat the Dolphins, Bengals and Bills they will still end up with 11 wins and comfortably in the playoffs. At this point they are just trying to figure out their seeding.
