17. L.A. Chargers

Recap: Wow, where did that come from? Beating the Green Bay Packers by one point has been nearly impossible all year and the Chargers treated them like they were a preseason squad that they wanted to take out their anger on.

Philip Rivers was good, not great today and does seem to be just a step lower than what we have seen from him in recent years but for today it didn’t matter.

Austin Ekeler is far and away the better running back despite the Chargers force feeding Melvin Gordon for no reason at all and he looked good today with nearly 100 yards on 16 touches.

Defensively two players showed out the most and of course it was Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa who have been the highlights of this defense since they were paired up together years ago.

Outlook: On one hand, if you can beat the Green Bay Packers like this then you truly have a shot against anyone in the NFL. However, I also have seen the deficiencies in the offensive line and in the pass defense when they can’t get a good rush, specifically when the Tennessee Titans handled them despite the final score.
