19. Detroit Lions

Recap: I was critical of the Detroit Lions giving Trey Flowers what they did, but you could make the argument that he is the only real playmaker on the defense in Detroit.

Matthew Stafford is having a really good year, but with a hit or miss running game and an aforementioned defense that hasn’t made plays it isn’t hard to see why a once promising team is now around the bottom 10 in the NFL.

Outlook: What should the Lions do going forward? The offense is good even thought the running game is inconsistent at best, but the defense is just so bad that you have to invest everything you have in that this offseason as far as I am concerned.

With the playoffs essentially out of reach now, it is time to really see where your young players are in their development and potentially try to get a great handle on which players are the weakest links that need to be a priority to replace.
