Rookie of the Year: A.J. Brown

It’s always a toss-up for how things will go for rookie wide receivers in the NFL, but Brown is having himself a great first season with the Titans. The team’s leading receiver, Brown has been a major catalyst in three of the four Tennessee wins, and even though he didn’t put up great numbers in Week 8, he did catch what would eventually be the game-winning touchdown.

Everything we’ve seen from Brown has been as advertised, and he’s a great playmaker who has a chance to make house calls whenever the ball is in his hands. Just imagine what his numbers could be if the Titans had a better OC calling plays and more consistency at quarterback the entire season.

Honorable mention: Jeffery Simmons

Simmons still needs more time to develop and get himself into game shape. Despite that, he already looks like a game-wrecking defensive lineman who is going to be very good in this league for years to come.

A disruptive force, Simmons is going to help open things up for the guys around him as he continuously looks nearly unblockable on most plays. If Simmons keeps this up, he could very well go from honorable mention to winning this award with just a little over half a season of play.
