Tennessee Titans: Winners and Losers from Week 8’s win vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Loser: Anyone covering Mike Evans

I’m going to guess that you knew by the lead in that this was going to be a little bit negative.

If you are going to be a top group of defensive backs, you have to be able to cover one of the best receivers in the NFL. You don’t have to completely lock him down, but you also can’t just let him walk all over you and almost single-handedly win a game for the other team.

That is exactly what happened yesterday against the Titans and like I said, it almost cost them the season.

Going forward the Titans may have Adoree Jackson back which should help, but ultimately the defense has to do a better job restricting Evans like they did with Odell Beckham Jr. and Julio Jones.

If they can’t do that, then teams are going to get confident attacking this defense deep which is not something that you ever want.
