1. New England Patriots

Recap: Over the last week the Patriots have basically instilled doubt in the entire NFL that Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold are franchise QBs at this level. Their domination on defense is reaching new levels of insanity and it feels like opposing offenses are happy to give them the ball to be a footnote in the history that is being made.

While people are making a lot about the lack of talent that they have played so far and the way their schedule ramps up over the next few months, we shouldn’t gloss over the devastation they left in their wake against New York and Cleveland.

Outlook: Right now another Patriots ring feels inevitable, but the question on everyone’s mind is where will this team be next year? Will they have Tom Brady? If not, where will he go? There is so much buzz about all of the potential change in the future that you could see other teams being confused or distracted, but for New England this is just business as usual.

I expect more domination and more rumors as we go forward, but ultimately when the Patriots are 15-1 no one will be thinking about where Brady will be in 2020…or maybe they will at least be more quiet about it.
