2. San Francisco 49ers

Recap: So, Nick Bosa is defensive player of the year right? In case you didn’t read that correctly, I didn’t say defensive rookie of the year, I mean he is the best defensive player in the NFL right now.

With records to break and new bars to set, Nick Bosa’s 3 sacks and an interception today rank among the best games all time by a rookie at any position. I don’t know if he can top this going forward, but I can guarantee that the 49ers front office and coaching staff are ecstatic with what Bosa does for that team both as an individual and as for what he does to help the rest of that defense succeed.

Outlook: I think the 49ers are Super Bowl bound and while there will be bumps in the road, this may be the most impressive team in the NFL if were projecting success over the nest three years.

I can’t praise the job that Kyle Shanahan has done enough, and it is going to be exciting to see just what this team can do down the stretch and whether that youth and inexperience hurts them or helps them as we look to the playoffs.
