5. Kansas City Chiefs

Recap: The bad news is that the Chiefs defense continues to look like one of the least talented and worst coached units in the NFL. The good news is that even with Matt Moore at quarterback Kansas City was able to put up 24 points and look pretty easy doing it.

Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce look like stars no matter who is in the backfield and that has to make you at least a little bit excited if you are a Chiefs fan and if you know what is coming down the pipe.

Outlook: Going forward, maybe this defense gets better and it isn’t such a colossal train wreck each week as other teams move the ball at will with the rare QB pressure. I don’t know if all of those injured players coming back can fix everything, but it probably can’t get worse.

Again, most of this won’t matter because Patrick Mahomes is going to put up 40 points per game and allowing 30 still means you are winning by 10, but it is something that becomes much more important when Mahomes is banged up.
