11. Houston Texans

Recap: The AFC South is really good and really medicore at the same time, and while the Texans won today they are no different from the Colts, Titans or Jaguars in that I could see them losing to nearly any team in the league because of their massive flaws.

Today, Deshaun Watson‘s heroics were enough to win the game against the Oakland Raiders despite an admitted “blind throw” being the difference in a win or a loss.

Outlook: This is where it gets tricky. JJ Watt announced today after the game that he will be missing the rest of the season with a pectoral injury. That means that the Texans will finish the year without J.J. Watt, Jadeveon Clowney, potentially Will Fuller (or at least not at 100%), and Lamar Miller.

Those are all key pieces on that team, and they will have to face a staunch Titans defense in two of the last three weeks of the seasons meaning that the last month of the season is going to require a lot from backups on that team at key positions thanks to these injuries and trades.
