14. Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are on a bye, but for a quick refresher, this is what we said last week:

Recap: A week after getting upset by the New York Jets in embarrassing fashion, the Dallas Cowboys needed a win in the worst way in Week 7 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Well, Jason Garrett’s squad answered the bell in decisive fashion. Not only did the Cowboys’ offense come alive, but their defense was a major head ache for Carson Wentz, who turned the ball over three times in what was a blowout win for Dallas.

Outlook: After hitting a patch of turbulence, the Cowboys righted the ship against the Eagles and now sit alone atop the NFC East. Despite their recent issues, the Cowboys showed they are undoubtedly the best team in the division at the moment. Dallas will have yet another divisional matchup in Week 9 against  a very different New York Giants squad than the one it played in Week 1, however the Cowboys will first enjoy a bye in Week 8.
