18. Oakland Raiders

Recap: The Raiders aren’t as frustrating as the Broncos to Titans fans, but it is really close. The AFC South was almost a lot closer, but unfortunately for the Titans and Raiders, Oakland couldn’t finish their game today against the Houston Texans.

The front line of the Raiders is formidable, but the defensive backs and linebackers really just couldn’t get it done today.

Outlook: Josh Jacobs continues to look good in a limited role and you have to imagine that long term, Gruden figures out that maybe giving him the ball even more would be a smart idea.

My big issue with the Raiders is, how good is Derek Carr? Is he really a franchise QB or is he manufacturing efficiency by focusing too much on the tight ends and running backs and letting them do the work. I don’t know if that is a bad thing or just a product of “taking a profit. We will see, but right now I am not optimistic that this is a playoff team.
