19. Detroit Lions

Recap: The Lions squeaked past the New York Giants today, but a win is a win and it doesn’t matter how it happens especially when you get jerked around by the refs like they did last week. I think the Lions record is misleading and they should be 4-2-1 right now and pretty optimistic.

Outlook: Speaking of optimistic, is this the best that Matt Stafford and this offense has looked in a long time? If not then I am just starved for points because this feels like a real offense again to me.

Defensively, Trey Flowers has quietly looked really good over the last two weeks and is starting to earn that massive contract he was given. While some of the other teams in this range need to focus on the future, if you squint you can see why the Lions could be interested in short term gains as well as adding pieces long term.
