Vrabel continues to take unnecessary risks

Stop me if you have heard me and every other sane Titans fan say this: Mike Vrabel made a questionable decision that could have ultimately cost his team the game.

Up 27-23, the Titans had a chance to kick a relatively easy field goal to go up by seven points late in the fourth quarter. A unified sigh of relief from the fan base occurred once we saw Cody Parkey run out for his opportunity to add three points to the board.

However, that sigh of relief quickly turned into the usual feeling of frustration we have felt during Vrabel’s tenure as he attempted a suspect fake field goal by having punter Brett Kern run towards the outside, which to no one’s surprise did not work. Coach Vrabel has shown a history of outsmarting himself and this was once again one of those times.

The tone of this article and from the fan base in general would be a lot different right now if not for an amazing effort by the Titans defense on a late fourth-down stop by Jurrell Casey, Rashaan Evans and Kenny Vaccaro.
