Any non-Jeffery Simmons DT

Right now, the Tennessee Titans have one of the deepest group of DTs in the NFL. If they ran a traditional 4-3 or if they used what they did last year, they would have two groups rolling in:

-Group 1: Jurrell Casey and DaQuan Jones

-Group 1B: Jeffery Simmons and Isaiah Mack.

In case you missed it last night, I figure out just how good that second group is and how they rank compared to the 40+ rookie DTs that were on teams this preseason and how they match up to historical greats.

So that is pretty outstanding. While the first name the Titans should offer up on the DT trade block is Austin Johnson who is a free agent after this year and who was well liked before the draft, I have a feeling they won’t get many bites.

However, if someone wowed the Titans with an offer for Mack, Jones or even Casey I wonder if the New England Patriots cold, calculated training would take over and lead to a potential deal.

Reminder, I don’t want to necessarily make this move but DT is weak across the NFL and the Titans are lucky enough to have 4 that are playing at a high level and they are doing it at different parts of their career.
