An analysis of the top-five players on the Tennessee Titans defense so far this season.
The Tennessee Titans are currently sitting at 3-4 on the season, but they have shown a lot of promise at many points of the season, especially defensively.
While the Titans offense has mainly been lackluster this season to say the very least, ranking 26th in total offense, and 27th in points, their defense has played at a high level all season.
They currently rank eighth in the league in total yards, fourth in the league in fewest points allowed, and have yet to allow more than 20 points in a single game this season.
While much of the season has seen the Titans’ defensive efforts wasted by the overall ineptitude of the offense, it now seems as though that trend is finally changing.
During Sunday’s victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, the offense looked as if it had gotten it’s act together, with Ryan Tannehill moving the ball down the field with relative ease, which helped open up the run game, leading Derrick Henry to 90 yards and a touchdown on the day on 22 carries.
Of course, it’s only one game, and the offense will have to continue that level of play on a week-to-week basis for Titans fans to truly feel comfortable, but as long as the defense continues its high level of play, this team has a chance to win.
Here is a look at the top-five players for the Titans’ defensive unit, plus some honorable mentions.
