Notes

-Obviously, the snap count we were watching out for the most was that of Simmons, the Titans’ 2019 first-round pick. We figured the Titans would ease him in, and while they kind of did that, he still saw 33 percent of the snaps in Week 7. As we noted earlier, Simmons was the highest-graded Titans defender, making the absolute most of every snap he played.

-LeShaun Sims saw a season-high 18 snaps. He filled in for Adoree’ Jackson, who was hurt during the game.

-Cameron Wake was in on 22 snaps, the third-highest total he has seen this season. He’s been an important contributor to the pass-rush when healthy, so we’d like to continue to see him get 20-plus snaps per game, which has happened three times in the five games he’s played in. He’s had two games of 16 snaps or less.

-Delanie Walker saw just five snaps in Week 7, as he was forced from the game early due to the ankle injury that kept him limited and then out of practice. As a result, Jonnu Smith saw a season-high 53 snaps.

-In what is always a good sign for this Titans offense, Derrick Henry dominated snaps at running back, owning 48 to Dion Lewis’ 17. Tennessee had been going with a more even split even though Lewis has done nothing this season, so this is a trend we’d like to see continue.

-We’ve seen A.J. Brown’s snaps steadily increase as the season have moved along. The Titans’ 2019 second-round pick caught a career-high six passes for 64 yards on 39 snaps.
