2. Strong-side (Sam) LB Shaquil Barrett

Godwin isn’t the only Buccaneer who currently leads the league in a major statistical category.

Barrett is having a breakout season after signing with the Buccaneers this past offseason. So far in 2019, he has nine sacks, tied for the most in the league alongside Browns pass-rusher, Myles Garrett.

His most notable game came against the Giants, where he sacked Daniel Jones four times.

A former undrafted free agent out of Colorado State, Barrett spent his first five seasons with the Denver Broncos as a reserve pass-rusher. He signed with the Buccaneers on a one-year deal worth $4 million, and according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, he is one sack away from a $1 million incentive bonus.

In addition to his league lead in sacks, he also has 23 tackles, one interception, and three forced fumbles, and was the NFC Defensive player of the month in September.

Barrett has quieted down since this game, being held without a sack the previous two games before the bye week, but he still is a threat to disrupt the passing game.

As the team’s strong-side linebacker, Taylor Lewan and whoever starts between Jack Conklin and Dennis Kelly will have their hands full with Barrett in this game.
