Special Teams: B+

Brett Kern showed not only is he a great punter, he’s also a pretty good passer as well, completing a pass to Kevin Byard for a first down on a fake punt.

As far as actually punting goes, he had another solid game, only punting twice, but planting the Chargers inside their own 10 on both occasions, though after the first punt, the Chargers drove 94 yards down the field for a touchdown to take a 10-3 lead in the second quarter.

Cody Parkey really was the only blemish, doinking an extra point off the uprights after a Titans’ go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Parkey still made his other two extra point attempts, and even sank a 45-yard field goal in the first quarter, so he wasn’t awful. That being said, Ryan Succop cannot return soon enough.

Nothing too spectacular happened in either return game, though Adam Humphries did get the Titans to midfield on his lone punt return.

Despite Parkey’s misadventures in kicking extra points, the Titans special teams were once again solid otherwise.
