MMCNB was out in full force

We all know that the Mayor of Murfreesboro is known for his ball-hawking ability. But the former All-Pro safety once again showed that he is capable of doing it all on Sunday afternoon. Whether he was breaking up passes, being a nuisance in the run game, or catching passes on fake punts, Kevin Byard made his presence known in the Week 7 victory against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The cornerback tandem of Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan were consistently making plays in the passing game as well. Logan Ryan was once again stingy in his pass coverage and making a legitimate argument that he deserves some of the money that will undoubtedly be saved by not re-signing former starting quarterback Marcus Mariota.

The secondary was not perfect on the day, but MMCNB as a whole did enough to once again solidify themselves as one of the best secondaries in the National Football League as they helped a stingy defense hold on to a close 23-20 victory.
