2. New Orleans Saints (6-1)

Recap: The New Orleans Saints went on the road and beat the Chicago Bears handily in Week 7. Teddy Bridgewater once again performed well in place of Drew Brees, and Michael Thomas and Latavius Murray made significant contributions in the 36-25 victory. Despite the final score, this game wasn’t really that close, as the Saints owned a commanding 36-10 lead late in the fourth quarter before the Bears scored two late, meaningless touchdowns at the end of the game.

Outlook: The Saints continue to show they are good enough all-around to win games without their star quarterback. Brees’ absence was thought to be a doomsday scenario at first, but the Saints have not only weathered the storm, they have also thrived without him. With Brees set to return any week, the Saints are looking like a Super Bowl contender this season. New Orleans draws a very winnable matchup against the Arizona Cardinals and their rookie QB in Week 8.
