5. Kansas City Chiefs (5-2)

Recap: The Kansas City Chiefs fell behind early in the first quarter against the Denver Broncos in Week 7 on Thursday Night Football, but quickly took the lead and never looked back. Patrick Mahomes was forced to leave early with a scary knee injury, but backup Matt Moore was able to navigate the offense and throw for a score. It also helped that the Chiefs defense absolutely dominated the Broncos upfront, shutting down Joe Flacco with eight sacks en route to just six points allowed.

Outlook: The biggest concern from Week 7 is obviously the injury to Mahomes, who had to have his knee popped back into place on the field after getting hurt during a QB sneak. Thankfully for KC, it looks like Mahomes’ injury won’t keep him out the rest of the season. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Chiefs QB could be back in three weeks or less, however the team is expected to exercise caution with their star. Until then, the Chiefs will roll with Moore and have a Week 8 matchup with the Green Bay Packers on deck.
