The Chargers tied the game up at 3 with a field goal of their own. The Titans took over from their own 21, as the second quarter had just begun.

After a five-yard carry by Henry, the Titans faced a second-and-five. After a play-action fake, Tannehill stood in the pocket and fired a dime over the middle to Corey Davis, which he caught despite really good coverage from Casey Hayward. It was an 11-yard gain and a first down. Tannehill took a hit from Damion Square as he threw it, but he did a good job of not getting frantic with the rush getting to him, and he delivered a nice ball to Davis for a first down.

On a second-and-8 from the Titans 39, Tannehill, again off of a play-action fake, Tannehill delivered another beautiful pass to Davis for another first down up to the Chargers 45.

On a third-and-5 from the Chargers 38 yard line, Tannehill had to throw the ball away after he was flushed out of the pocket after rush got through. Tannehill was once again wise not to force the ball into coverage.

Tannehill went 2-of-3 for 27 yards and two first downs on the drive. Tannehill made the best of conservative play-calling, with his two completions being in the tights of windows. At this point, he already looked more comfortable and confident in the pocket than Mariota has all season.
