Ryan Tannehill’s first start as the Tennessee Titans quarterback definitely showed a lot of promise against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Ryan Tannehill made his first start as a Titan on Sunday, and helped lead the team to a 23-20 victory over the Chargers in heart-pounding fashion.

Tannehill, acquired in an offseason trade from the Miami Dolphins, spent the first portion of the season as a backup to Marcus Mariota, but after the overall ineffectiveness of Mariota over the course of the first five and a half games of the season, Tannehill was sent in to replace Mariota last week in the Titans’ 16-0 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Tannehill showed promise in the game, despite not putting up any points, and apparently, that was more than enough for the team to put their faith in him.

On Wednesday, Tannehill was named the starting quarterback moving forward, a move that was met with joy from some Titans fans, but disdain from others.

All in all, in his first start, Tannehill made some impressive plays against a depleted Chargers defense. The offense seemed to run more fluid, and Tannehill did not seem afraid of making mistakes.

Tannehill answered many questions about whether or not he could lead this team to victory on Sunday, and the prospects of him having long-term success in Nashville looked pretty promising.

Here is a drive-by-drive analysis of Tannehill’s game against the Chargers.
