Both the Titans and Chargers are coming off tough losses last week and are looking to right their ship as a last effort for a playoff push. In this must-win matchup, the Titans have decided to make a major change by bringing in quarterback Ryan Tannehill to replace Marcus Mariota.

The Titans have struggled on both the offensive and defensive fronts this season. The O-Line is going up against the ferocious Joey Bosa and the Chargers line. I don’t foresee the leaky Titans line to make major improvements this week to give Tannehill time to operate. The defensive front has struggled with the absence of Cameron Wake the past two games. It’s a troubling sign when the entire pass rush is driven by one player. While rookie Jeffery Simmons has been activated, the Chargers should be able to contain the Titans.

The Chargers have had the Titans number in recent history. Titans have pulled one victory in the last 12 matchups. I don’t expect that to change as Philip Rivers and Melvin Gordon put a pounding on the Titans, forcing them to take a look into the off-season earlier than expected.

Prediction: Chargers 31, Titans 14
