The Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers need these guys to step up.

Despite dueling 2-4 records, there is a lot of importance to this game between the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers.

For starters, teams that are 2-5 have relatively no chance to make the playoffs and history shows that only 3% of those teams actually battle the odds and win, making it to the post season.

On the other hand, if you can dig out of the pit that is 2-4 and move to 3-4, your playoff chances more than double going from 9% to 19%.

So, while one team will leave Nissan Stadium and enter rebuilding mode (if they are smart) the other will claw desperately trying to get to 5-4 which is when the odds are finally back in that team’s favor to make it to the dance.

Before either of these teams can think about that though, they have to meet each other in Nashville and handle business.

A side note, FiveThirtyEight projects the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers to both finish 6-10 right now and with both likely to need a QB in 2020, this could be a fight that determines who lands the third QB drafted in April.
