ESPN’s Tennessee Titans trade suggestion pushes me down the rabbit hole

Titans top trade candidate

I’m going to be honest, given his connection to Marcus Mariota and what he could do for the right contending team, I was fully expecting Davenport to suggest Pro Bowl TE Delanie Walker as the top trade candidate.

However, he went a different and admittedly less controversial direction by naming Dion Lewis as the top trade candidate.

"“Any team looking for a back who can create matchup problems for opposing teams as a runner and receiver should consider trading for Lewis, who has a $5.4 million cap hit in 2020 and a $5.1 million cap hit in 2021. The veteran also can contribute as a kick returner. Lewis yielded carries to Dalyn Dawkins behind Derrick Henry — Lewis has only 16 carries all season — and that could signify that Tennessee is willing to move on. “"

If there is ability left in Lewis, the Tennessee Titans coaching staff have proven time and again that they don’t know who to use it or make the most of it.

Completely based on speculation and conjecture, I have a fun idea for a trade that could work out for two teams going in the same direction but needing different things. Let me explain.
