ESPN’s Tennessee Titans trade suggestion pushes me down the rabbit hole

What I think needs to happen next for the Tennessee Titans.

The Tennessee Titans are in a really tight spot, and if they suffer a loss this weekend their playoff chances shift from 9% to 3%.

I wrote an article this week about knowing when it was the right time to admit the Titans need a quick rebuild. With the defense young and fully ready to contend and an offense with real weapons, that time is now and I don’t think it is a difficult thing to do.

The entire blueprint for that rebuild will shift and change as the season progresses and as we are really able to nail down who the problems are on the offensive side of the ball. However, I fully believe that now is the time for the Tennessee Titans to be “sellers” with the trade deadline rapidly approaching.

It is important to note that right now the Titans are scheduled to pick 7th right now and they face one of the five hardest schedules in the NFL. Even if they don’t actively try to tank, the likelihood that this team can go on a 8-2 run to finish the season is VERY low.

So, with that in mind I want to talk about a trade suggested by Turron Davenport of ESPN who does a great job covering the Titans.
