2. Excitement

Marcus Mariota is out, and for some people that has been the dream ever since…well ever since they saw other Titans fans happy I guess.

As soon as Mariota hit the slightest bump in his progression after his fascinating 2016 season, people were ready to poke holes any time he didn’t have a great game. Those games came more and more frequently, which only led them to get more and more excited and pile on.

For those people, these are clearly exciting times.

However, for the majority of fans that thought that the offense was going to have to be very well coached and executed for Mariota to preform, this is a freeing week. Now you don’t have to stress over whether or not Arthur Smith will make the right calls, you can just sit back and accept whatever result you see.

If Ryan Tannehill is a good QB and can overcome the other deficits on this team, then great! It means that the team can sign him to a new deal and make him their starting QB.

However in the much, much more likely event that Tannehill also struggles then there is a very good quarterback class waiting right around the corner.

Tua Tagovailoa, JOE BURROW and Justin Herbert are the headlines with there being some interesting developmental QBs also worth sniffing at.

With Cincinnati and Miami both looking at QBs in the upcoming draft, a dumpster fire is just what the Tennessee Titans ordered to secure their QB. If not, they can rest easy knowing that most other teams in the top-5 or top-10 range don’t need a quarterback and will be looking to make a deal on draft day.
