Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker posted a cryptic tweet on Tuesday night as fans await the decision on who will be the team’s starting quarterback in Week 7.

As the Tennessee Titans fan base eagerly awaits the announcement of who will be the team’s starting quarterback in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Chargers, veteran tight end Delanie Walker posted a cryptic tweet with words of inspiration.

What makes the tweet more interesting is that it had a clip of quarterback Marcus Mariota completing a pass to Walker during the Titans’ Week 6 loss to the Denver Broncos attached to it.

Take a look.

There’s a few different ways we can look at this.

Perhaps Walker knows that the team is going with Ryan Tannehill moving forward and this is a message of inspiration to try and pick Mariota up and tell him to keep grinding and wait for his time to come again.

Or, this could be a hint that Mariota is remaining the starter and Walker is telling him to keep working hard in order to improve and help the offense.

To be honest, if I had to guess, I would take the former as the answer, but who knows at this point. I doubt this is a self-inspiration tweet because we’ve already seen the results from Walker.

What I do know is that Walker loves Mariota, even calling him “my guy” after the Oregon product was pulled in Week 6.

If the Titans are indeed going with Tannehill, Walker likely won’t be thrilled to see his guy Mariota benched, however he’ll be the great team player he has always been and will put his head down and play hard all the same.

Walker was very complimentary of Tannehill on Monday.

Head coach Mike Vrabel informed us on Monday that the decision would be made Monday night or Tuesday morning. With the Titans set to practice on Wednesday, the decision is likely to be made official then.

Until then, we wait…
