Loser: Dion Lewis

The Tennessee Titans finally made the decision to have a different running carry the ball, and the first man up was Dalyn Dawkins. While Dawkins finished with just two carries for two yards, it wasn’t the lowest YPA by a Titans running back that afternoon as Dion Lewis finished with one rush for -1 yards.

At this point, it looks like everything is up for debate with the Titans offense floundering. The first question is going to be which running back emerges as the RB2 in this offense. At the very least it looks like the Titans are going to limit Lewis to a receiving back role, but they may phase him out all together.

With Rod Smith hopefully healthy going forward, the Titans now have four running backs active between Derrick Henry, Lewis, Dawkins, and Smith.

Henry wasn’t very good on Sunday, but he is the unquestioned lead back in this group. Now they will have to figure out who else is going to carry the load, but I think it is safe to guess that someone other than Dion Lewis is going to end up in that RB2 role and that this may be one of the last times we see Lewis get more than a touch or two for an NFL team.
