. . Previous: 1st. New England Patriots. 1. team. 47

Pros: This may be the best Patriots team we have ever seen. Led by the best defense in the NFL, the Patriots look like they can beat you in any way they want which is a trademark of a Bill Belichick team, not to be confused with a Mike Vrabel team whose trade mark is single digit points on offense (see Titans, Tennessee).

It doesn’t matter if they lose offensive linemen, receivers, fullbacks, running backs, whatever as long as Tom Brady is healthy with this defense it is going to be nearly impossible for anyone to convince me that an opposing team should be favored or at least considered even with the Patriots no matter where they are playing.

So

Cons: Tom Brady is amazing, but he didn’t look like he was quite at the elite level that he normally is. But, if he is 90% of what he has been the Patriots should be heavy favorites for the Super Bowl.
